Car Transporting is Smooth Sailing If You’re Prepared

Opting for car transporting for your big move is taking a huge burden off of your shoulders. But unfortunately, you can’t just kick your feet up and relax once you sign up. You have a substantial role in the overall safety of your vehicle and so it’s required that you follow a few steps before you hand over your keys to the interstate car transport driver. Here are a few key things that should be done for you have your vehicle picked up for transport:

• Clean your car. It doesn’t have to be detailed, just clean enough so that they physical inspection can be completed thoroughly, inside and out.
• Don’t leave anything valuable in your vehicle, as the US DOT prohibits carrying personal items on a truck licensed only for carrying automobiles. Stored items also add unwanted weight to the vehicle and may cause damage during transport.
• The US DOT requires that the driver has a copy of every key for the vehicle including trunk, glove box, etc.
• You should lower or remove your antennas for transport safety issues.
• Any alarm should be disabled for transport. You don’t want your car to show up with a drained battery, so to be safe have it disabled.

3 Reasons Why United Routes Is Better Than the Rest

It’s pretty common for car transport companies to say that they’re the best—or for any business to make that claim—but you can be sure that United Routes truly is superior. You might be thinking to yourself, “Suuure, that’s what they all say” but here are some reasons why:

1)    Instant Price Quote Online: This might seen like a small thing, but when you’re trying to get quotes on the fly, you’d be surprised at how many car transport companies try to give you the runaround instead of a definitive answer. Here, you can get the info you need in a few clicks.

2)    No Cancellation Fees: Let’s face it, moving can be pretty pricey, especially when it’s a large-scale cross country move. United Routes understands that things come up, unforeseen circumstances arise and can eat a hole in your pockets, leaving no room for extras. So if for any reason, you need to cancel your reservation, you don’t have to worry about shelling out even more money on bogus cancellation fees.

3)    No Up-Front Deposits: A lot of car transport companies require you to pay a deposit to hold your booking. Well not with United Routes. A deposit is only required when you’ve been given your driver’s name and number and he’s in route to pick up your vehicle.

Cross-Country Moving Tips

Moving is one of the most stressful things we have to deal with in life. Moving is especially stressful when it’s a large scale move, like one across the country. If you’re about to embark on a large scale move, here are some tips to help you get there smoothly.

1) Before you start packing, take and inventory of your possessions. Think about the larger, heavier items that take up the most room and decide if you really need them.

2) If you have a vehicle, or more than one vehicle, you should contact car transport companies. Car transporting can make your move a lot easier by allowing you to relax instead of driving all the way there. It is also more economical to opt for car transporting because you’re saving on those road trip fees like gas, food, and lodging.

3) Research air far costs. You should look into booking far in advance to insure you get the best deal. In addition, find out how much it would cost to ship your items.

4) Finally, start packing. If you’re hanging on to old stuff that you don’t really need or use, consider getting rid of it to save room and money when it comes time to ship your boxes.

If You Have A Sick Ride, You Gotta Car Tranport It

I know that if I had the money to buy the brand new 2011 Rolls Royce Ghost, I would certainly not drive it across the country to move. I would send that puppy on an interstate car transport ride.

That’s right, I’d get it its own private chauffeur to meet me where I’m headed. Because a car so beautiful isn’t made to be taken on road trips (although what a way to cruise, right?) its made for car transporting.

This car, at a mere $245,000, has 543 horsepower, rear coach style doors, and is smaller and more manageable than it’s big brother the Phantom. Although it’s electrically engineered to go no faster than 155 miles per hour, which means New York to Miami in about nine hours, if you didn’t see any cops, those ponies under the hood could go a lot faster. But realistically that’s at least 20 hours in a car, and more than 1500 miles on the dash. Leave the car transport Florida to the pro’s.

Car transporting is a great way to give your car some extra loving. If you don’t want it subject to a perilous move across the country, or state lines, let the fellas at United Routes take care of it.

A Car Transporting Biography

Car transporting is my life. I’ve been doing it since I was a young man, and I’ve driven all over this wide continent with cars and trucks in tow. It isn’t easy. I’ve weathered storms that I thought would topple my truck, but I held on and made it through.

It all started with cars. I loved driving, and still do. I wanted to spend my life working with cars, but I didn’t know a thing about what goes on under the hood and I didn’t like the general nature of trucking. I wanted a more intimate experience with the car. So I turned to car transporting and found my calling. Next week marks my thirty fourth year in the car transporting business.

I prefer interstate car transport to state route car transporting, simply because of the safety of the cars. A flat interstate road means less to worry about when you’re hauling 80 tons behind you. But I sure have seen a lot of this grand continent, from car transport Florida to auto transport California. My favorite part of the job is unloading the cars though. I treat a beautiful auto like a beautiful woman, gently and with great respect. Let that be a lesson to all you young car transporters out there.

Purple Mountain Majesties to Amber Waves of Grain

The United States is the third largest country in the world. Driving your car across high snow capped mountains, through flat corn fields, sagebrush and plains that were once underwater, and became a tropical jungle hundreds of millions of years ago after the inland sea receded to become the Great Salt Lake, into swamps and groves, across hundreds of miles of sandy desert, windy roads along purling rivers and ancient hills, the great highways that span the entire length of the country, with billions of white dashes and thousands of miles of yellow lanes and divots on the side of the road to alert you that you’re drifting onto the shoulder, the truck stops and small motels, the cities and suburbs, the green road signs with white letters that reflect nacreous light during evening, lakes and forests, oak and elm lined streets quiet with Americana, flags waving, farms with tractors churning, and finally arriving at your destination, can be an overwhelming experience.

Car transport companies make your life a little easier, whether you’re looking for car transport Florida or you’e moving from L.A. and you need auto transport California. Car transport companies can make moving a little less stressful.
