More Car Transporting Horror Stories
Just in case the other week's rain-, train-, and bear-infused stories weren't enough to convince you to ship your car instead of driving it, we've got another round of transport horror stories. Remember, car transport companies can eliminate all of these problems by delivering your car with reliable door-to-door service.
Can I get a ride? Even though a mechanic told them their vehicle's engine was on its last legs, a family of New Yorkers embarked on a cross-country drive which left them stranded in Middle of Nowhere, New Mexico — with fading cell phone service to boot. The group wound up being picked up by a sketchy trucker who drove with his knees.
We're very close. A husband and wife driving to their new house tried to squeeze their brood into their sporty Chevrolet Caprice. It was a brood of six, to be precise, all crammed into the back seat. Throughout the drive, the parents tried to keep their cool while the kids battled for valuable inches.
Too Oldsmobile. A family with a 100,000 mile deep Oldsmobile with a habit of making funny noises decided to drive to their new house in California. Lacking air conditioning, the car was defenseless against the summer heat, inspiring the traveling parties to desperately hose themselves off at many a gas station. And of course, the Oldsmobile broke down along the way.
Clearly, driving across the country is fraught with both trial and tribulation. Do yourself and your family a favor and give car transporting a chance — it's the safest and easiest way to get your vehicle from A to B.
